1. According to the nature of the process

a. Punching die: Die for separating material along a closed or open profile. Such as blanking die, punching die, cutting die, incision die, cutting die, cutting die, etc.

b. Bending die: Die that causes blank or other blank to bend and deform along a straight line (bending line) to obtain a workpiece of a certain Angle and shape.

c. Deep drawing die: It is a die for making blank sheet metal into open hollow parts, or making hollow parts further change shape and size.

d. Forming die: the blank or semi-finished workpiece is directly copied and formed according to the shape of the convex and concave die, and the material itself only produces local plastic deformation of the die. Such as expanding die, shrinking die, flaring die, undulating forming die, flanging die, shaping die, etc.

 


2. Classification according to the degree of process combination

a. Single process die: Only one stamping process die is completed in one stroke of the press.

b. Composite die: A die with only one station, in one stroke of the press, two or more stamping processes are completed at the same station at the same time.

c. Progressive die (also known as continuous die) : A die having two or more stations in the feeding direction of the blank and completing two or more stamping processes at different stations in a single stroke of the press.

a. Punching and shearing die: It is used to complete the work by shearing. Commonly used forms include cutting and punching die, blanking and punching die, punching and trimming die, whole edge punching die, drawing die and punching die.

b. Bending die: It is to bend flat wool embryo into an Angle shape. Depending on the shape, accuracy and production of the part, there are many different forms of die, such as ordinary bending die, CAM bending die, curling die, arc bending die, bending and seam punching die and twisting die.

c. Drawing mold: Drawing mold is to make flat wool embryo into seamless container with bottom.

d. Forming die: refers to the use of various local deformation methods to change the shape of the wool embryo, its forms are convex forming die, roll edge forming die, neck shrinking forming die, hole flange forming die, round edge forming die.

e. Compression die: It uses strong pressure to make the metal wool embryo flow and deform into the required shape. Its types include extrusion die, embossing die, embossing die and end pressing die.
